When we talk about ultra-exclusive luxury watch brands, Richard Mille is always there. It's fairly easy to describe Richard Mille to someone who isn't a watch lover. Richard Mille is a luxury timepiece in F1 racing. F1 cars are manufactured with the most advanced technology and advanced materials compared to other racing cars. Likewise, Richard Mille watches are made with avant-garde materials and feature futuristic designs. Keeping this in mind, the new Richard Mille RM 07-01 Intergalactic watch combines two of the Swiss brand's signature approaches, high-tech materials and futuristic design. The RM 07-01 Intergalactic watch is set with gemstones in a unique way, highlighting the sharp corners of the gemstone setting, showing the stars shining in the vast darkness of the Milky Way.
Richard Mille released four interstellar watches, named RM 07-01, Bright Night, Dark Night, Misty Night and Starry Night. All of these watches feature the brand's signature tonneau case shape in carbon TPT material with 5N red gold accents. Case diameter is 31.4mm and thickness is 11.85mm. This makes them the most compact models Richard Mille currently offers. To protect the front and rear sides of the three-part case, a sapphire crystal is used. Grade 5 titanium screws are used to hold the three-part case together. The case is water resistant to 50 meters.
These Carbon TPT cases are set with unique stones. These stones are protected by 5N red gold prongs throughout the face. It’s worth noting that many of the 5N red gold prongs scattered across the cases of these watches aren’t actually meant to hold diamonds, but rather to create a galactic aesthetic.
Each of the different models of the RM 07-01 offers a different proportion of diamonds and prongs set on the case. There are other small differences as well. For example, the middle strap of the Bright Night version is red gold, while the other models have Carbon TPT. The Misty Night model has four red gold pillars flanking the case, with grade 5 titanium screws threading through the various components. Additionally, the Starry Night model comes with its own full-link carbon fiber TPT bracelet, while the other three RM 07-01 models come with black rubber straps and red gold deployant buckles. The movement used in these watches is Caliber CRMA2 with a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.
The differences also exist when we talk about their dials. While all four RM 07-01 Intergalactic timepieces share a similar overall case design and construction, the ratio and setting of the diamonds to prongs differ. Each dial has a central section made of carbon TPT that reveals the shape of the tonneau case and is adorned with fine diamonds and 5N red gold prongs. A hollowed-out area surrounds this central area, revealing the inner workings of the movement and separating the central part of the dial from the minute track flange that surrounds the display border. Carbon fiber is used to manufacture the outer rim, which bears the hour markers filled with luminous material for better readability. The dial has red gold hands indicating the hours and minutes.
Richard Mille unveils the masterpiece of the RM 07-01 Intergalactic watch. All four of these watches are literally stunning. Any of these watches is a great choice for winter.
